Here’s little About My DG FONTS CALLIGRAPHY JOURNEY.
I had lovely handwriting since my schooling days. Writing had always been a huge part of my
life. I have studied in an all-girls convent school where we were taught cursive writing and it
was compulsory to write in cursive. Apart from that I always wanted my books to be neat
with my lovely handwriting. I used to flaunt about my handwriting. More than reading & I
have always focused on writing.

Coincidentally, I came across an artist and learned basic calligraphy. By practicing every day, I
managed to learn an advanced type of calligraphy. After a while I created a kind of fusion
like a mixture of brush calligraphy & copperplate calligraphy which got very popular known
as watercolor effect background and fonts used to write is copperplate. It’s more like a
mixture of modern and traditional calligraphy.

I started getting interested in lettering & calligraphy with more practice. I started spending
time on calligraphy with crafting, simultaneously also focusing on academics.
​
Putting pen to paper allows me to open up & explore what’s in my heart. The calming swirls
of modern calligraphy scripts, the vibrancy of ink, the sound of nib scratching the paper, all
of this is almost meditative and an emotion. One thing I have realized is that with
calligraphy, you need a lot of practice & it’s easy to get frustrated & give up. I constantly try
to get better by exploring hacks & techniques. I have invested in myself & I have been able
to elevate to the next level because of it. Hence I am striving to bring back the love &
appreciation for handwritten scripts. The beauty of greeting cards, notes, letters, seeing the
flourishes of your name, these are small things that give joy to the receiver.

I have been lucky to come across amazing people who have given me opportunities to
challenge myself and offer handwritten services to them. I’ve worked on different media
and came across gorgeous pieces that I could write on.
Now, I can offer a variety of services depending on one’s requirements. Perhaps you have a
wedding & need a fancy singe, a welcome board, place cards, menu cards, vows, invites, or
anything that is handwritten – I make all of that. I am passionate about being creative, I
enjoy & take pride in everything I create, writing beautiful words in calligraphy creating
bespoke seals, agate stones, and so on...
